For over 40 years Strand Products has supplied turnkey cable assemblies for critical space flight, aircraft, sea, and on land applications to OEMs and contract design and assembly houses. Applications include deployable space masts and booms, aircraft aileron control cables, firing lanyards for oxygen generators in commercial aircraft PSU’s, and weapons arming assemblies.

Our assemblies and designs are used in Boeing commercial aircraft, and Northrop Grumman Fighter Planes. Our expertise in high tension, tight tolerance assembly was employed to build the 60-meter mast shown to the right used in the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM). It flew on the Space Shuttle Endeavor in February of 2000, and generated high-resolution topographic maps of Earth.

We adhere to Military standards for materials, assembly, swaging, testing, and cleaning including MIL-DTL-6117, MIL-DTL-5688, MIL-DTL-87161, MIL-DTL-83420, MIL-STD-781, FED RR-W-410 . All material is DFAR compliant and manufactured domestically.

Our customers include Boeing, U.S. Army, USAF, L-3 Fuzing & Ordnance Systems, Israel Aerospace Industries, Lockheed, Spirit Aerosystems, NASA, Northrop Grumman, and ATK Space.
